Teresa Susmaras, PhD

Introduction

Dr. Susmaras’ areas of interest include neurodegenerative conditions, stroke and vascular neurocognitive disorders, sequelae of traumatic brain injury, seizure disorder, and cognitive changes associated with chronic medical and psychiatric conditions. In addition to diagnostic evaluation, a portion of her practice will include an assessment of cognitive and behavioral status related to decisional status, guardianship proceedings, & expert testimony.

Experience

Dr. Susmaras is a clinical neuropsychologist with nearly a decade of experience in neuropsychology. She completed her APA-accredited internship at Rush University Medical Center, Behavioral Sciences. Dr. Susmaras then completed a 2-year accredited neuropsychology fellowship at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.

Outside the Office

In my free time, I like to spend time with family, friends, and my partner. We like to stay active and outdoors, hiking, biking, and in the winter, we travel to the mountains for downhill skiing. I am also an avid reader, I love reading for pleasure or listening to audio books.
